amazing selection. amazing staff. its a beautiful library.
My daughters enjoy the children's programs on weekday mornings and we've taken them to a few special events (like the Polar Express reading in December). They really enjoy it! I use the ebooks checkout via Overdrive to get books for myself and my girls to read on my Kindle. I've also checked out physical books, but probably won't much now that they have ebooks and I have a Kindle.
Nice, helpful staff. Easy to get my library card. Look forward to the on-line audio books.
The selection of books is okay, I often have to request from other libraries in the area. There's also a male desk jockey who seems to have quite the chip on his shoulder. He's rude, snippy, and seems to think he's King of the library. I now try to go to other York libraries as not to deal with him. He also doesn't know his library well, he told me I couldn't possibly download a kindle book in the library without connecting it to the computers...has he not heard that kindles have Wi-Fi?
Guthrie has a nice selection of books and movies to choose from. I recently went there with a friend and my experience was absolutely incredible. I am thinking about getting a library card from here because My counties library doesn't not have a wide variety of books/movies like this library has. I would go again and most likely be making this my main library.
